Las Vegas Strip casinos won $6.69 billion in 2006. Compared with 2005, win rose 10.8 percent, or $652.9 million.
None of Nevada's other reported sub-areas won more, and the figure accounts for 53.0% of statewide win. The split runs 51.4% to slot machines and 48.6% to table, counter and card games. The largest gain came from slot machines at $262.0 million; the largest decline was Caribbean Stud, down $11.0 million.

About Las Vegas Strip
The Las Vegas Strip is the largest single gaming market in the United States, and on its own it usually produces a little under half of all Nevada gaming revenue. Destination visitation drives the results, which makes the Strip far more sensitive to the calendar than Nevada's locals markets: move a big convention or a fight weekend into a different month and the monthly line moves with it. The Control Board began reporting the Strip as its own area in 2018, so for earlier Las Vegas figures you want Clark County.
