Gaming win on the Las Vegas Strip reached $5.33 billion in 2004. There's no year-over-year comparison for 2004: the Control Board didn't report Las Vegas Strip separately for long enough in 2003 to measure against.
None of Nevada's other reported sub-areas won more, and the figure accounts for 50.5% of statewide win. Machines accounted for 53.7% of win; tables, counters and card games made up 46.3%.

About Las Vegas Strip
The Las Vegas Strip is the largest single gaming market in the United States, and on its own it usually produces a little under half of all Nevada gaming revenue. Destination visitation drives the results, which makes the Strip far more sensitive to the calendar than Nevada's locals markets: move a big convention or a fight weekend into a different month and the monthly line moves with it. The Control Board began reporting the Strip as its own area in 2018, so for earlier Las Vegas figures you want Clark County.
